This year\u00b4s event \u201cExploring 100 years of Irish Food\u201d promises to offer visitors and locals alike a taste of the history of Irish food. According to McMahon, some chefs will be preparing dishes form different decades.<\/p>\n<p>Galway is bidding to become European Region of Gastronomy in 2018 and McMahon says, if successful, this will put Galway on the international foodie stage.
