The\u00a0platform partners\u00a0presented itineraries that will take place in\u00a0Italy, Portugal and Spain that will be tested by students from\u00a0Latvia. The aim of these itineraries is to teach students from\u00a0VET schools how to organize their travel itinerary, put them\u00a0in contact with international sweets producers, and to have a\u00a0positive experience abroad with other students and\u00a0professionals from the Tourism, Gastronomy and Hospitality\u00a0sector.\u00a0IGCAT\u00a0is carrying out part of the Spanish itinerary alongside\u00a0with la Comunidad de Madrid. IGCAT has set out the tour\u00a0experience for Catalonia, where the students will have the\u00a0opportunity to meet local sweets producers, stay in\u00a0hospitality schools and participate in workshops and tastings\u00a0in Tossa de Mar, Sant Pol de Mar, Sant Andreu de Llavaneres\u00a0and Barcelona.\u00a0After these tours take place, a final meeting will be held in\u00a0Madrid to evaluate the experience and the quality of the\u00a0sweets itineraries in order to be used as a future model for\u00a0other VET school trips.<\/p>\n<p>About the European Sweets Itinerary:<\/p>\n<p>The European Sweets Itinerary project is developing a\u00a0tourism and hospitality itinerary matching the needs of\u00a0tourism and catering students across Europe.\u00a0For more\u00a0information, visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetsitineraries.eu\/\">http:\/\/www.sweetsitineraries.eu\/\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>About IGCAT<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/org\">IGCAT<\/a> (International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts\u00a0and Tourism) is an international interdisciplinary network of\u00a0experts aiming to empower and facilitate local communities\u00a0to realise the potential of their distinct food, culture, arts,\u00a0sustainable tourism and other local resources.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The second European Sweets Itineraries platform meeting\u00a0was held in Lisbon on the 6 and 7 September 2016.
