{"id":12742,"date":"2016-09-28T18:13:00","date_gmt":"2016-09-28T16:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/?p=12742"},"modified":"2017-01-24T11:50:07","modified_gmt":"2017-01-24T10:50:07","slug":"seven-celebrity-catalan-chefs-celebrate-the-european-region-of-gastronomy-2016-award-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/es\/seven-celebrity-catalan-chefs-celebrate-the-european-region-of-gastronomy-2016-award-3\/","title":{"rendered":"7 celebrity Catalan chefs celebrate the European Region of Gastronomy 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"m_-4898981955686416725gmail-m_-3459891949891723186gmail-m_-3913799488445061803null\">On Tuesday 27 September 2016, on World Tourism Day, Catalan cuisine received a unique tribute.<\/h2>\n<p>For the first time, the chef Nandu Jubany, alongside with seven star chefs &#8211; Carme Ruscalleda (Sant Pol), Joan Roca (El Celler de Can Roca), Paco P\u00e9rez (Miramar), \u00a0Jordi Cruz \u00a0(\u00c0bac), Fina Puigdevall (Les Cols), Paolo Casagranda (Lasarte) i Ra\u00fcl Balam (Moments), offered a dinner in homage to their profession. \u00a0200 professionals from the tourism and gastronomy sector including representatives of the Slow Food Network, Cuina Catalana campaign and IGCAT experienced a gastronomic feast.<\/p>\n<p>This special event marked the occasion of Catalonia, European Region of Gastronomy 2016 Award and was hosted at the special invitation of the President of Catalonia, Carles Puigdemont, and in the presence of Catalan Minister of Enterprise and Knowledge, Jordi Baiget and the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, Meritxell Serret, amongst other public authorities.\u00a0 IGCAT&#8217;s President, Dr. Diane Dodd was amongst many distinguished guests and noted with appreciation the high level and culinary expertise provided during the gala event.<br \/>\n<strong>About the European Region of Gastronomy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/europeanregionofgastronomy.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=es&amp;q=http:\/\/europeanregionofgastronomy.org\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1475604625699000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHQcqa5Lvl5Q_n3AeJzeGHfg1bx7A\">European Region of Gastronomy<\/a>\u00a0Platform and Award aim to contribute to better quality of life in European regions, by highlighting distinctive food cultures, educating for better health and sustainability and stimulating gastronomic innovation.
