In the framework of East Lombardy \u2013 European Region of Gastronomy 2017, local tourism and service professionals will be invited to join discussions, including this one on how to satisfy customers with special needs.\u00a0<em>Food and wine storytelling<\/em>, along with <em>Sustainability and distinctiveness of the tourist offer<\/em> will also form another discussion.<\/p>\n<p>The meetings will close with a special focus on <em>Food and wine tourism between innovation and tradition<\/em> and a presentation of the East\u00a0Lombardy &#8211; European Region of Gastronomy 2017 project, fostering the\u00a0enhancement of quality local food and wine products and culinary traditions, with a view to integrating them in the tourism offer and to improving local sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Financed by Bergamo\u2019s Chamber of Commerce and organised by\u00a0<em>Bergamo Sviluppo<\/em>\u00a0together with the trade associations<em>Coldiretti<\/em>, <em>Confesercenti<\/em> and <em>Ascom<\/em>, the conferences will take place from 24 October to 29 November.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0European Region of Gastronomy\u00a0Platform and Award aim to contribute to better quality of life in European regions, by highlighting distinctive food cultures, educating for better health and sustainability and stimulating gastronomic innovation. \u00a0IGCAT\u00a0(International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism) organises the award with the support of European institutions.
