Last year SeaFest saw 60,000 visitors attend the festival in Galway, and in 2015, its inaugural year, it netted 10,000 visitors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">During the festival, a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Gastronomy2018\/videos\/235215120324522\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=es&amp;q=https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Gastronomy2018\/videos\/235215120324522\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1499249549737000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEfs7bj8Y_9ki_EliK3T7CN3dIQww\">promotional video<\/a>\u00a0of Galway, West of Ireland, European Region of Gastronomy 2018 was released as part of their campaign to attract a wider audience to their social media platforms and especially, to engage the community with a brief footage of the work line upon which the region will work in 2018, in order to raise awareness about the European Region of Gastronomy project and how a good gastronomy plan will be one of the key factors that will help the local community to reach a sustainable development of the region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Galway, West of Ireland will celebrate its year as European Region of Gastronomy in 2018 along with Noord-Brabant, from the Netherlands, providing with the other regions of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/projects\/regionsofgastronomyplatform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=es&amp;q=https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/projects\/regionsofgastronomyplatform\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1499249549737000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEpvN4uS6w70DpDkkPkZ8-iZsH4Rg\">European Region of Gastronomy Platform<\/a>, cross \u2013 marketing opportunities and longer-term benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/europeanregionofgastronomy.org\/\"><strong>European Region of Gastronomy<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0Platform<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Award<\/strong>\u00a0aim to contribute to better quality of life in European regions, by highlighting distinctive food cultures, educating for better health and sustainability and stimulating gastronomic innovation.
