Saguiguit Jr., director of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.searca.org\/\">Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (Searca)<\/a>, gave this reflection as the center opened the five-day <strong>\u201cExposure Workshop on Farm Tourism Practices in Southeast Asia\u201d<\/strong> on December 4 at the Searca headquarters in Los Ba\u00f1os, Laguna.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Designed as a <strong>platform<\/strong> where different <strong>stakeholders<\/strong> from the across the region may <strong>share, learn and update themselves on the varying states of and trends in farm tourism<\/strong> in Southeast Asia, the exposure workshop had participants representing six countries in the region\u2014Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam\u2014and Taiwan as represented by a resource person.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Saguiguit related Searca\u2019s efforts to establish a <strong>Southeast Asian AgriMuseum<\/strong> and <strong>Learning Center in Agricultural and Rural Development<\/strong>, saying that both initiatives place agriculture and its exciting prospects at center stage.
