{"id":17321,"date":"2018-09-28T12:42:26","date_gmt":"2018-09-28T10:42:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/?p=17321"},"modified":"2018-11-05T14:18:45","modified_gmt":"2018-11-05T13:18:45","slug":"showcase-of-top-products-for-top-chefs-at-kuopios-european-region-of-gastronomy-office","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/es\/showcase-of-top-products-for-top-chefs-at-kuopios-european-region-of-gastronomy-office\/","title":{"rendered":"Showcase of top products for top chefs at Kuopio\u2019s European Region of Gastronomy office"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Best local products from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanregionofgastronomy.org\/platform\/kuopio-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kuopio, European Region of Gastronomy 2020<\/a> were showcased in front of Finland&#8217;s top chefs and restaurant owners <strong>Henri Al\u00e9n<\/strong> and <strong>Tommi Tuominen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The event was held at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/european-region-of-gastronomy-office-opened-in-kuopio-city\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Region of Gastronomy office<\/a>\u00a0and put the spotlight on different local businesses offering high-quality food and drink products:\u00a0wild herbs and derived products from\u00a0<strong>Iltalypsy<\/strong>; Nordic bakery delicacies from\u00a0<strong>Liepuska<\/strong>; products from brewery and coffee roasting company\u00a0<strong>Rock, Paper &amp; Scissors<\/strong>; sustainably produced beef meat from\u00a0<strong>Pesolan Pihviliha<\/strong>; spirits and berry liqueurs from\u00a0<strong>Lignell &amp; Piispanen<\/strong>\u00a0distillery; and\u00a0<strong>Kala-Lappi<\/strong>\u2019s fish products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Located in the heart of Kuopio city, the European Region of Gastronomy office is the hub that gathers the main stakeholders involved in the programme and has been devised as a centre to host events and exhibitions related to the European Region of Gastronomy initiative.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Henri Al\u00e9n and Tommi Tuominen\u00a0are chefs and owners of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/restaurant-ultima.fi\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ultima<\/a>\u00a0restaurant (Helsinki) which combines top food technology with circular economy and hyperlocal production (meaning that a big percentage of ingredients used are grown in their premises) to ensure a sustainable offer of delicious food.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">After the food showcase, the top chefs and the entrepreneurs visited the 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.satoa.fi\/en\/front-page\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SATOA Kuopio Food Festival<\/a>\u00a0(24-25 August 2018) which enlivened the city centre offering the audience a wide range of dishes prepared by local restaurants and emphasising local ingredients and producers.
