{"id":25149,"date":"2022-08-02T10:36:51","date_gmt":"2022-08-02T08:36:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/?p=25149"},"modified":"2022-08-02T10:36:51","modified_gmt":"2022-08-02T08:36:51","slug":"promoting-best-practises-from-trondheim-trondelag-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/es\/promoting-best-practises-from-trondheim-trondelag-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Promoting best practises from Trondheim-Tr\u00f8ndelag 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Zero emission farms;\u00a0the contribution of local farmers and producers to regional identity;\u00a0opportunities to encourage urban gardening and; the importance of investigation and knowledge to boost innovation and sustainable development were just some of the topics discussed by over 25 representatives from <strong>IGCAT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees, including 11 candidate and awarded <strong>World\/European Regions of Gastronomy<\/strong> took part in the 25<sup>th<\/sup> IGCAT Best Practices Platform Meeting, hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanregionofgastronomy.org\/platform\/trondheim-trondelag-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trondheim-Tr\u00f8ndelag, European Region of Gastronomy 2022<\/a>, on 25-28 July and had the opportunity\u00a0to learn, exchange and develop ideas inspired by <strong>best practices<\/strong> developed in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The World\/European Region of Gastronomy Platform members were particularly impressed by the level of engagement of local stakeholders to the European Region of Gastronomy title and their pride in being ambassadors of the regional food culture. Creativity, innovation, passion, as well as a strive for quality and sustainability are clearly underpinning many of the initiatives visited.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, the dialogue and cooperation promoted by the European Region of Gastronomy 2022 title among the different actors in the territory are contributing to strengthening Trondheim-Tr\u00f8ndelag as a sustainable food destination \u2013 and a treasure trove for foodie travellers from across the globe!<\/p>\n<p>Meetings and conversations were hosted and attended by different local stakeholders in the region, including: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oyna.no\/english\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00d8yna Cultural Landscape Hotel<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/husfrua.no\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Husfrua Guesthouse<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Inderoymosteri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inder\u00f8y Mosteri<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/web.trondelagfylke.no\/mare-landbruksskole\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M\u00e6re Agricultural School<\/a> and the <strong>Agricultural Climate and Energy Centre<\/strong>; <a href=\"https:\/\/stiklestad.no\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stiklestad National Cultural Centre<\/a>; producers, farmers, as well as cultural and historical centres along the <a href=\"https:\/\/dgo.no\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Golden Road<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/ysteri.no\/english-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gangstad G\u00e5rdsysteri<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inderoyslakteri.no\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inder\u00f8y Slaughterhouse<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/surfkombucha.no\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Surf Kombucha<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/berg-gaard.no\/products\/?page=1&amp;pageSize=30&amp;product_view=1&amp;sorting_mode=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Berg Farm<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/inderoybrenneri.no\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inder\u00f8y Distillery<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/coop.no\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coop<\/a>; <strong>Urban Farm Leangen<\/strong>; <a href=\"https:\/\/seesalmon.no\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SeeSalmon<\/a> high-tech visitor centre; <strong>Speilsalen<\/strong> and <strong>Palmehaven<\/strong> restaurants at <a href=\"https:\/\/britannia.no\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Britannia hotel<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntnu.edu\/food-forum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) Food Forum<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.matriketmidt.no\/en\/troendelag-food-festival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tr\u00f8ndelag Food Festival<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.matriketmidt.no\/en\/trondheim-brewery-festival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brewery Festival<\/a>; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toromogkjokken.no\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">To Rom og Kj\u00f8kken<\/a> restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was organised with the support of the main stakeholders of Trondheim-Tr\u00f8ndelag, European Region of Gastronomy 2022: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trondheim.kommune.no\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Municipality of Trondheim<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trondelagfylke.no\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tr\u00f8ndelag County Authority<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.innovasjonnorge.no\/en\/start-page\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Innovation Norway<\/a>; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.matriketmidt.no\/en\/oi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oi! Tr\u00f8ndersk Mat og Drikke<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the World\/European Regions of Gastronomy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/world-regions-of-gastronomy-platform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Candidate and awarded World\/European Regions of Gastronomy<\/a>, guided by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IGCAT<\/a>, are working together to strengthen food security through the celebration of distinctive food cultures; create employment by stimulating creativity and gastronomic innovation; nourish children and adults through culinary and cultural education; drive environmental sustainability in tourism, hospitality and agricultural sectors; support balance and sustainable tourism practices; highlight and support expertise from within rural and urban communities, creating connections and sharing good practises; and contribute to community health and well-being.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About IGCAT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IGCAT aims to\u00a0<strong>empower local communities<\/strong>\u00a0by raising awareness of the importance to protect and promote distinct regional food, culture, arts and natural assets as part of sustainable and balanced tourism and development strategies. This is essential to safeguard our planet, health, wellness and local economies.<\/p>\n<p>IGCAT is a non-profit institute established in 2012, working with regional stakeholder consortiums in the fields of gastronomy, culture, arts and tourism.
