{"id":1214,"date":"2013-11-18T14:44:00","date_gmt":"2013-11-18T14:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/?p=1214"},"modified":"2013-11-18T14:44:00","modified_gmt":"2013-11-18T14:44:00","slug":"art-idea-attends-the-city-gastronomy-seminar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/fr\/art-idea-attends-the-city-gastronomy-seminar\/","title":{"rendered":"ART-idea attends the City &amp; Gastronomy Seminar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ART-idea&#8217;s Director, <a title=\"Diane Dodd\" href=\"http:\/\/www.connectcp.org\/profiles\/profile.php?profileid=1\">Diane Dodd<\/a>, and ART-idea\u2019s Project Manager, Maro Kazamiaki, attended the City and Gastronomy Seminar at the <a title=\"CCCB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cccb.org\">Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona<\/a> (CCCB) on November 15th 2013 organised by the <a title=\"Kreanta\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kreanta.org\/\">Kreanta Foundation<\/a> in collaboration with the <a title=\"CUIMPB\" href=\"www.cuimpb.cat\">Consorcio Universidad Internacional Men\u00e9ndez Pelayo de Barcelona (CUIMPB)-Centre Ernest Lluch<\/a> and <a title=\"Metropolis\" href=\"http:\/\/www.metropolis.org\">Metropolis, the World Association of the Major Metropolises<\/a>. The Seminar took place in the framework of the <a title=\"Catedra Medellin Barcelona\" href=\"http:\/\/www.catedramedellinbarcelona.org\">C\u00e1tedra Medell\u00edn-Barcelona<\/a>, an initiative started in 2009 by Kreanta Foundation within its international cooperation and development programme in Colombia.<\/p>\n<p>The Seminar was inaugurated by <strong>Joan Fuster Sobrepere<\/strong>, academic director of CUIMPB\u2013Centre Ernest Lluch, and <strong>F\u00e9lix Manito<\/strong>, President of the Kreanta Foundation, followed by an intervention of <strong>Alain Le Saux<\/strong>, General Secretary of Metropolis, on <em>&#8220;City and Gastronomy on the local and international agenda&#8221;<\/em> presenting the significance of gastronomy and city in the wider context of urban development and growth, health and education.<\/p>\n<p>During the first round table <strong>Claudia M\u00e1rquez Cadavid<\/strong>, Primera Dama de la Alcald\u00eda de Medell\u00edn (First Lady of the City Hall of Medell\u00edn) presented the project <em>&#8220;Medell\u00edn s\u00ed sabe, la ruta de la comida tradicional de la ciudad\u201d<\/em>, an initiative focused on preserving the local cuisine, educating the entrepreneurs and promoting a gastronomic route to mobilise the citizens. The floor was then given to <strong>Raimond Blasi,<\/strong> Councillor of Trade, Consumption and Markets of the City Hall Barcelona who presented the city\u2019s policies for cultural gastronomy.<br \/>\nThe second part of the seminar was a round table with <strong>Miquel Espinet<\/strong>, architect and president of <a title=\"FAD\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fad.cat\">FAD<\/a> (Fostering Arts and Design), <strong>Carles Gaig<\/strong>, chef at the Restaurant Gaig, and <strong>Toni Massan\u00e9s<\/strong>, general director of <a title=\"ALICIA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.alicia.cat\">AL\u00cdCIA Foundation<\/a> (Alimentation and Science). The speakers debated the tendencies and challenges of the future of gastronomy emphasising the importance of tradition and roots in relations between the city and gastronomy.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar ended with a final debate on gastronomy strategies in cities with examples from Barcelona, presented by <strong>Manel Casanovas<\/strong>, director of the Programme on Gastronomy, Culture and Leisure of Barcelona Tourism, the candidacy of Vic-Osona region for the UNESCO City of Gastronomy presented by <strong>Joan Naud\u00f3<\/strong>, President of the hospitality union of Osona, and <strong>Josep Llu\u00eds Mart\u00ed<\/strong>, director of the Consortium of Touristic Promotion of the Coast of Maresme.<\/p>\n<style class=\"western\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\" type=\"text\/css\"><!--\nP { margin-bottom: 0.08in;
