The ten initiatives were selected out of 100 ideas submitted by a plurality of local actors, demonstrating a strong engagement of the local community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">As reported by Buenavida, North Brabant\u2019s programme opened in March 2018 with the\u00a0<strong>Month of Food Waste<\/strong>, involving both consumers and businesses in a discussion focused on preventing and reducing food waste and improving recycling processes. Among the participating businesses, the magazine highlights\u00a0<strong>Botanic ites<\/strong>, which transforms food waste into new, appetising food products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">October has been selected as the\u00a0<strong>Month of #DataFood<\/strong>\u00a0and is about seizing new data-driven business opportunities and innovations in Brabant\u2019s agrifood sector for a more rational use of food. Pelegr\u00edn further reports that, in the long run, application of data science, as currently researched in North Brabant, could help forecast alerts in areas affected by severe food issues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Technology and innovation are combined in North Brabant with an endeavour to\u00a0<strong>reinforce local community\u2019s pride<\/strong>\u00a0in their food tradition and quality food produce. \u201cWe love eating and producing food.
