{"id":18888,"date":"2019-05-03T11:35:27","date_gmt":"2019-05-03T09:35:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/?p=18888"},"modified":"2019-07-09T11:36:00","modified_gmt":"2019-07-09T09:36:00","slug":"south-aegean-flavours-enchant-new-york","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/fr\/south-aegean-flavours-enchant-new-york\/","title":{"rendered":"South Aegean flavours enchant New York!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The prestigious\u00a0<strong>James Beard Foundation<\/strong>\u00a0in New York proved once again the perfect stage to showcase the flavours of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanregionofgastronomy.org\/platform\/south-aegean-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">South Aegean, European Region of Gastronomy awarded 2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the\u00a0<em><strong>Taste the Seasons\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>programme developed by the region for its title year, on 1 May 2019 Aegean gastronomy was promoted to the American audience for the third consecutive year at the\u00a0<em><strong>International: South Aegean Feast<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0event, and enchanted the palates of specialised journalists in gastronomy and gastronomic tourism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Delightful dishes based on simple and authentic products from the islands were prepared by the skilful hands of chefs and South Aegean ambassadors\u00a0<strong>Konstantinos Bouyouris<\/strong>, member of the Dodecanese-Cyclades Chefs\u2019 Club,\u00a0<strong>Hippocratis Anagnostou<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Athenagoras Kostakos<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Dimitris Pamporis<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Dimitris Rizogalas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;We are very proud that the South Aegean has managed to conquer the international stage, as it is the first Greek region to cross the threshold of the James Beard Foundation for the third consecutive year\u201d said Governor of the South Aegean Region,\u00a0<strong>Mr. George Hatzimarkos<\/strong>. \u201cThe South Aegean proves to have consolidated its position on the world map of gastronomy and is now standing in equal measure next to Europe&#8217;s largest gastronomic destinations.
