A story about details, small dreams of a big heart, the simplicity of small loves. This story is about a humble small-town boy in love with tiny pleasures. It speaks of people who value modesty; those who can appreciate the little things because they know that from little things, big things grow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Levi Dev\u017eej was selected by an <strong>international jury of IGCAT experts<\/strong> as the best short film to showcase a European Young Chef, presenting the story about his dish, his region and what inspired him in creating his recipe for the competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt brought me a lot of emotions. The young chef showed how to grow and step forward without forgetting his heritage, culture and history in Slovenia\u201d affirmed jury member <strong>Marina Simi\u00e3o<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn imaginative theme, a poetic story-line and interesting ideas on how to present Slovenia\u2019s gastronomy\u201d stated jury member <strong>Robert Palmer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The international jury included IGCAT experts: <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/dr-alessio-cavicchi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alessio Cavicchi<\/a> (Italy), Professor at the Department of Education, Cultural Heritage and Tourism at University of Macerata; <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/mai-damgaard-rasmussen-denmark\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mai Damgaard Rasmussen<\/a> (Denmark), Director of the FoodFilmFestival of Aarhus; <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/dr-daniela-angelina-jelincic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daniela Jelincic<\/a> (Croatia), Senior Reasearch Advisor at the Institute for Development and International Relations of Zagreb; <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/dorian-lungu-romania\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dorian Lungu<\/a> (Romania), trainer in in management of intercultural learning; <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/robert-palmer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Robert Palmer<\/a> (Scotland), independent consultant\u00a0 and former Director of Culture, Cultural and Natural Heritage at the Council of Europe; <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/marina-simiao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marina Simi\u00e3o<\/a> (Brazil), Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais; and <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/dr-lidia-barvanova\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lidia Varbanova<\/a> (Bulgaria), Senior consultant, lecturer and researcher in arts, culture and the creative industries.<\/p>\n<p>In the next days, the winners of the 7 categories of the Food Film Menu 2020 will be officially announced. A <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/projects\/food-film-menu\/food-film-menu-2020-vote-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">public\u2019s vote<\/a> will be open on Facebook (<strong>4-7 September<\/strong>) to select the <strong>Overall Winner of the Food Film Menu 2020<\/strong>, that will be announced in <strong>Kuopio<\/strong> (Finland) on 11 September 2020, during their opening ceremony as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanregionofgastronomy.org\/platform\/kuopio-2020-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">European Region of Gastronomy awarded 2020-2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Food Film Menu<\/strong> aims to collect short films about awarded and candidate Regions of Gastronomy that help raise awareness about the importance of food and cultural diversity for community well-being and a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Region of Gastronomy\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/world-regions-of-gastronomy-platform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Candidate and awarded Regions of Gastronomy<\/a>, guided by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IGCAT<\/a>, are working together to raise awareness about the importance of their cultural and food uniqueness; stimulate creativity and gastronomic innovation; educate for better nutrition; improve sustainable tourism standards; highlight distinctive food cultures; and strengthen community well-being.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About IGCAT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>IGCAT<\/strong>\u00a0aims to<strong>\u00a0empower local communities<\/strong>\u00a0by raising awareness of the importance to safeguard and promote distinct food, culture, arts and sustainable tourism assets.
