Dishes that combine the heritage of local culinary traditions with the French and English influences that persist in Menorca.<\/p>\n<p>A Taste of Sant Joan was selected by an <strong>international jury of IGCAT experts<\/strong> as the best short film to showcase a Food-related Visitor Experience or Food Gift from the Regions of Gastronomy, since it forcefully presented a quality and surprising visitor experience related to regional gastronomy as a powerful way of keeping the region\u2019s identity alive and making it interesting for responsible tourists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis short film captures the spirit of this extraordinary Menorcan event and its historic links to gastronomy, and the role of food in the overall experience, combined with traditional recipes shared by the chefs and cooks involved\u201d affirmed jury member <strong>Robert Palmer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis film powerfully showed how to connect gastronomy, culture, history and tourism\u201d stated jury member <strong>Marina Simi\u00e3o<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The international jury included IGCAT experts: <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/dr-alessio-cavicchi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alessio Cavicchi<\/a> (Italy), Professor at the Department of Education, Cultural Heritage and Tourism at University of Macerata; <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/mai-damgaard-rasmussen-denmark\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mai Damgaard Rasmussen<\/a> (Denmark), Director of the FoodFilmFestival of Aarhus; <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/dr-daniela-angelina-jelincic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daniela Jelincic<\/a> (Croatia), Senior Reasearch Advisor at the Institute for Development and International Relations of Zagreb; <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/dorian-lungu-romania\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dorian Lungu<\/a> (Romania), trainer in in management of intercultural learning; <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/robert-palmer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Robert Palmer<\/a> (Scotland), independent consultant\u00a0 and former Director of Culture, Cultural and Natural Heritage at the Council of Europe; <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/marina-simiao\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marina Simi\u00e3o<\/a> (Brazil), Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais; and <a href=\"https:\/\/test-oldwebsite.igcat.org\/team\/dr-lidia-barvanova\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lidia Varbanova<\/a> (Bulgaria), Senior consultant, lecturer and researcher in arts, culture and the creative industries.<\/p>\n<p>In the next days, the winners of the 7 categories of the Food Film Menu 2020 will be officially announced.
