In communities all over the world, we are seeing a new focus on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pps.org\/reference\/toward-place-governance-civic-infrastructure-placemaking\/\">Place Governance<\/a>, as Placemaking has emerged as a way to address and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pps.org\/blog\/diverse-funders-are-converging-on-placemaking\/\">bring together multiple causes<\/a>\u2014from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pps.org\/transportation\/\">transportation<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pps.org\/reference\/place-capital-re-connecting-economy-with-community\/\">local economies<\/a>, to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pps.org\/reference\/farmers-markets-as-a-strategy-to-improve-access-to-healthy-food-for-low-income-families-and-communities\/\">public health<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pps.org\/reference\/placemaking-as-a-new-environmentalism\/\">sustainability<\/a>.\u00a0With Placemaking taking root in more and more communities worldwide, this year PPS watched, proudly and in awe, as many of the projects we helped to get off the ground began to take on a life of their own.
