The bonanza began in 2008 when 46 tulou in Fujian were selected as\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/whc.unesco.org\/en\/list\/1113\">World Heritage cultural treasures<\/a>, including Hekeng&#8217;s cluster of 13.
